Entities Responsible for Your Information
Optim Recruiting LLC is responsible for your information. With respect to Job Seekers and Employers, for the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Optim” or “we” means Optim Recruiting LLC.
Personal Information and Non-Personal Information
Personal information “Personal Information” refers to any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual, and non-personal information “Non-Personal Information” refers to any information that does not identify you as a specific individual. Where this Privacy Policy refers to “information” or “your information” this may include both Personal and Non-Personal Information.
Scope of this Policy
This Privacy Policy covers only information that we collect through our Site, other information collection or processing, including, without limitation, the information collection practices of any affiliate or third party, including any third-party operators of web pages to which the Site links, and any information that we collect offline or through any websites, products, services, that do not display a direct link to this Privacy Policy.

When you use or register with OptimCareers.com, OptimResume.com, or Optim Recruiting LLC, we may collect certain information that identifies you as an individual or relates to an identifiable individual “Personal Information". We collect information from you when you create an Optim account, request information, subscribe for a service, participate in a survey, post a rating or review, post a question or answer, submit a resume, complete an assessment, upload content or otherwise actively send us data on our Site. We collect the following information from your browser when you visit our site:
Internet activity, such as your browsing activity on our site, your IP address, cookies, and geolocation data.
Names, email, phone, and other information should you choose to register or download content from our site.
We collect the following information when you apply to a job:
Items such as your name, contact information, address, and other personal information you enter into any submission.
Employment related information such as your job search criteria, education, skills, and salary expectations.
Answers to applicant screening questions, photo, and video interview material.
We collect the following information when you purchase a service from us:
Items such as your name, business phone number and work email address.
Items such as your company name, job title, and work location.
Information protected against security breaches such as credit card information should you purchase a service from us.
Detailed information about your job search and career information.
Use of Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our sites. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to collect and analyze information about use of our services and provides reports on activities and trends on our site. Google Analytics may also collect information regarding the use of other websites, apps, and online resources. Storage of Your Information
Optim stores your Personal Data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services, or until you ask us to delete your Personal Data. We may also be required to retain certain information in order to comply with local laws. If you wish to delete your Personal Data, you should submit a request to delete it by writing hello@optimcareers.com with the subject Delete Personal Data.
Use of Personal Information
We use Personal Information to provide you with information regarding job opportunities, career-related information, to carry out marketing activities, to provide requested services to you, and to manage our relationship with you. We may from time to time use your Personal Information to send you automated email messages, text messages, or marketing materials relating to our services. We may also use Personal Information for our business purposes, such as market analysis.
We may share your Personal Information with potential hiring companies, employers, job seekers, and other third parties that may assist us from time to time with connecting accounting and finance job seekers with hiring companies.
We may share your Personal Information with regulatory authorities, government bodies or courts to comply with applicable laws or if we reasonably believe that such action is necessary to comply with a law requiring such disclosure or to protect the rights of Optim Recruiting LLC.
Some examples of how we use your information include:
Create your account and send you job alerts or other promotional materials;
Give you relevant search results and job recommendations;
Facilitate communication as part of the job search, application, and interview process;
Make your resume available to third-parties;
Match Job Seekers with Employer Job Listings and potential future opportunities;
Prevent fraud, spam, and other potentially fraudulent or illegal activities;
Facilitate payment;
Carry out automated processing in order to provide many of our services;
Enhance and optimize our services and security for Job Seekers and employers by data sharing with our Affiliated Partners and Websites;
Improve our Services, maintain product quality and protect users; and
Aggregate and share with third parties any content collected on OptimCareers.com, OptimResume.com, or Optim Recruiting which is intended to be publicly available and searchable by individuals
Creating an Account, Job Alerts, and Other Promotional Materials
If and to the extent permitted by applicable law, Optim may use your contact information to create an account, send you Job Alerts, and send you information about Optim, including promotional materials. Optim may use third-party partners to perform these activities on Optim’s behalf.
A Job Alert is defined as an email that you sign up for containing Job Listings in response to a search query you have run, subscribing to a Job Alert directly, or applying to a similar Job Listing. Job Alerts may include jobs that Optim recommends for you, companies you may be interested in, or other actions you may want to take on the Site. Optim may adjust the frequency of Job Alerts from time to time.
Optim may also share your information with third parties in order to show you targeted advertisements and other content that has been customized for you. Such advertisements will only relate to Optim’s services, products, and features, all of which focus on helping Job Seekers find jobs and Employer find talent. If you wish to opt-out of receiving any marketing messages from Optim, please follow the Opt-out instructions in this Privacy Policy.

Your Contact Information
When you give Optim contact information (such as your name and email address) and other forms of Personal and Non-Personal Information, you agree that Optim may utilize this information for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy to the extent applicable. In particular, you agree that Optim may communicate with you or initiate communication with you on behalf of a third party through means such as but not limited to, email, phone, text, or postal mail, including through the use of contact information that you may have provided to Optim or that Optim may otherwise obtain from third-party resources.
Your Resume Information
Your information, including Personal Information, may get placed on the Site when you upload or edit a resume, which becomes part of your Optim Profile. Optim reserves the right to charge third parties a fee for accessing your information, including Personal Information, as part of Optim’s services. Optim may also send your resume to third parties if you choose to apply for a job listing or as part of our Services. When a Job Seeker sends a resume to Optim whether by applying to a job listing on our Site or otherwise, the resume becomes public by default.
Closing an Optim Account
When a Job Seeker closes an account, the Job Seeker will no longer have access to any of the information we make available under that account name, including but not limited to, resumes, video training, podcasts, tools and resources, and any other information associated with the account. If the Job Seeker uses the same email address to set up a new account, this information from a previous account will not become available to the Job Seeker again. Please note that closing your Job Seeker account or Optim account may result in you losing access to all Optim products and the ability to log into any account with saved information.
Optim reserves the right to keep any materials in a closed account as necessary to preserve and protect its rights to the extent permitted by law or to comply with its obligations under local law. A closed account does not mean that all the information is expunged from Optim systems, although it will not be readily available under the Job Seeker’s original account name. When a Job Seeker closes an account, Optim will begin the process within 24 hours and will have completed the operation within 30 days.
If a Job Seeker wishes to access or delete their Personal Information held by Optim, they should follow the steps listed within this Privacy Policy, and such request will be processed in accordance with applicable rules.
Security
If you provide credit, debit, or other payment card and related details to us in order to make a payment, Optim will use such information only for the purpose of processing the payment. Any credit card and related billing and payment information that you provide to Optim may be shared by Optim with companies who work on Optim’s behalf, such as payment processors and/or credit agencies, solely for the purposes of checking credit, effecting payment to Optim and servicing your account.
We use every reasonable measure to protect your Personal Information. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please notify us immediately at hello@optimcareers.com with the subject: Privacy.
Email & Text Opt-Out
By submitting your resume, downloading content, scheduling an appointment, or submitting other information, you agree that Optim may send you text messages or emails. If you no longer want to receive marketing-related emails from us, you may opt-out by using the link contained in such email or you may unsubscribe by emailing us at hello@optimcareers.com with the subject: Email Opt-Out.
If you no longer wish to receive marketing-related texts from us, you may opt-out by texting STOP to us at any time.
Minors
This site is not directed to individuals under the age of eighteen (18) and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from individuals under 18. If you are a California resident, under 18 and you have registered on this site, you may ask us to remove content or information that you have submitted by writing us at hello@optimcareers.com.
California Privacy Rights
By availing yourself of the rights afforded in this section of our Privacy Policy, you are declaring that you are a California resident. You have the right to request that we disclose the Personal Information we collect, use, disclose and “sell” about you. You can request a copy of this information from Optim by sending an email to hello@optimcareers.com.
Optim never “sells” your information in a manner that involves taking the information we have learned about you and exchanging that information with an unrelated third party for money, who will then use that information for a new purpose that you did not intend. We use your information in order to help you get a job.
Optim does display your resume to employers and recruiters through our job portal. We recommend your resume to employers and recruiters. We allow third-party cookies to help employers measure job listing performance and to optimize our online advertising.
Optim does these things to help people get jobs. We do not sell information to data brokers. You can opt-out by emailing us at hello@optimcareers.com.
