Meet the Face Behind Our Coaching Program

Hey there, I’m Cole. For the past 20 years, I’ve been recruiting and hiring. I’ve had the pleasure of working with hundreds of hiring managers across every department you can imagine. I’ve worked with tech companies, manufacturers, lending institutions, professional services, healthcare organizations, non-profits, and even retailers throughout my recruiting career.

I’ve seen how recruiting is done, and while I haven’t experienced it all, I’ve experienced a lot. I’ve had a seat at the backroom table where decisions are made and I know what makes hiring teams tick.

My advice isn’t based on one or two experiences that landed me a job and it’s not based on hiring a few people last year for my own team. It’s based on extensive years of hiring and recruiting experience and watching thousands of interviews and offers play out behind the scenes.

What if I don’t need ongoing support?

I’ve got you covered. You can join for one month or six months. Cancel anytime. Many people join for around three months until they find a new job. Others keep their membership all year long to help navigate changes in their workplace and earn promotions. Whether you’re just trying to get through the next transition or you’re looking for a safe place to talk through your workplace challenges, this program will work for you.

What other services do you provide?

While Opitm only provides this coaching program, we also have a list of vetted resume writers who offer discounts to our members. In some cases, it’s easier and worth hiring someone to write a resume from scratch. If I think that’s the case for you, I’ll point you in the right direction.

Are webinars recorded?

Yes. Whenever we host a workshop or event, we will save a recording and publish it for our members only. You can then access it anytime and revisit it as often as you like.

What is the discount on resume writing?

All members receive a 10% discount on resume writing services with writers in our network. If you choose to unload that part of your job search and career planning, you can focus on other things in your 1:1 sessions with me.

How do the 1-on-1 coaching sessions work?

You can book a 30-minute coaching session with me anytime. They are on a first come, first serve basis and they do book out a couple of weeks during peak times.

There is no limit on how many sessions you can book, but you must have an active membership at the time of your session to qualify for it.

What if I have an immediate need and there are no 1-on-1 sessions available?

Sometimes you need the answer to a question now and you can’t wait a few days or a week for a private session. In those cases, I’ve set up a coaching chat where you can ask questions anytime.

I try to keep the chat live Monday through Friday when I’m in the office, but you can always expect a reply within 24 hours.

When are you available for coaching?

Coaching sessions are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Pacific time.

Are there any guarantees?

There are no guarantees in life. Similarly, I can’t promise you a job or promotion in any given timeframe either. What I can promise you is candid, thoughtful advice based on the experiences I’ve had working with tens of thousands of job seekers and employers over the years.

I’m always skeptical of anyone who offers a guarantee on their coaching services. It’s clear that they don’t understand how recruiting works.

Who do you typically work with?

My experience and clients all work in private industries. I’ve worked with a diverse range of job seekers and candidates within technology, manufacturing, construction, financial services, banking, healthcare, and more. The only sectors I have limited experience with are government and non-profit.

What is my commitment when signing up?

There is no long-term commitment to the program. You can sign up and cancel at any time. As long as you cancel before your next payment date, you won’t be charged again.
